Some information related to concert dates does not change frequently. Artists or venues may have Web sites and cities may have cultural events calendars. Identify permanent information here to avoid entering it each time an entry is added to Mojam/Musi-Cal. (Please read the instructions.)
Note that there are two forms below, for entering performer or city information. Enter Notes Index information in the appropriate form that appears below. To enter information about venues, use the Venue Database submission form instead.
Please enter only URLs or short one-line fragments of HTML like
<a href="http://www.spac.org">SPAC Home Page</a>
in the URL field. Note that if you enter a raw URL, we will eventually
replace it with the title of the page to which it refers (up to 45
characters), so either make sure the title is appropriate or enter a snippet
of HTML as shown above for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
The data entered here should be of relatively permanent use. Advertisements for individual concerts are inappropriate. Similarly, entering URLs for bands in the venue or city sections is also inappropriate. Inaccurate or misleading information lessens the value of the calendar for everybody, creates a lot of extra work for us, and makes us look bad to boot. If the practice of entering inappropriate content continues we will have to remove the Notes Index submission feature from the server and require all data for this database be submitted to us for our approval.
Choose the form appropriate to the type of information you are submitting. Performer names should be entered in sorting order (e.g., Gorka,John). Cities in the US should be entered as city and state (e.g. Stockton, CA or Stockton, California). Canadian cities should be entered as city and province (e.g., Toronto, ON or Toronto, Ontario). Cities in all other countries should be entered as city and country (e.g., Athens, Greece or Glasgow, Scotland). Venue names should be entered as their full, correct name (e.g., Saratoga Performing Arts Center, not SPAC).
Enter URLs in the multi-line text area, one URL per line. There is no limit to the number of URLs you can enter. Please enter only URLs or short one-line fragments of HTML in the URL field.
Select keywords from the scrolled list. Again, there is no limit.
Once the form is complete, select "Submit". The new information will be merged with any existing information in the database for the subject.
